Visa for New Born Babies Born Outside Qatar
A number of expatriate women chose to go back to their home country when they are pregnant as it is easier for them to get the support and help they need this time from their extended family members. Qatar provides free visa on arrival for the newly born babies born outside Qatar. Getting visa for infant affirms that babies stay in Qatar is legal.
Upon returning to Qatar the parents/mother needs to bring someimportant documents to be able to get the visa for the baby as below.
1.) The baby should have a passport or mother or father passport should include the babies name.
2.) Original birth certificate of the baby
3.) Father and mother should have a valid residence permit in Qatar.
4.) Baby should not be more than 6-month old.
5.) Wife should be on sponsorship of husband.
The visa is provided to the infants on their arrival with their parents, incase only mother is accompanying the baby the visa will be provided at the entry border provided all the requirements are met.
For babies who are born in Qatar, parents needs to submit the documents like Baby’s original passport and birth certificate, marriage certificate, ID card and duplicates of passports to the Ministry of Interior to be able to get a visa.
