Traffic change at Al Mazrouah Interchange tomorrow
The eastbound carriageway on Al Mazrouah Interchange main bridge will be closed for a distance of two (2) kilometers and traffic will be shifted to the westbound carriageway were the lanes will be adjusted to accommodate movements in both directions.
In addition, the roundabout located to the east of Al Mazrouah Interchange bridge will be slightly relocated though all existing traffic movements will be maintained as shown on the attached map.
During this period, road users travelling eastbound on Salwa Road heading towards: Doha will be required to use the first exit on the roundabout (west of Al Mazourah Interchange) and follow signs along the new temporary road to reach Al Shamal Road and continue their journey.
Al Ruwais will be shifted on to the westbound carriageway Al Mazrouah Interchange main bridge, and then be required to make a U-turn at the temporary roundabout (east of Al Mazrouah Interchange) to continue their journey northbound along Al Shamal Road
Lusail will be shifted on to the westbound carriageway of Al Mazrouah Interchange main bridge and should continue straight once they reach the new temporary roundabout to reach their destination
Road users travelling from the Umm Slal area wishing to access Umm Slal Health Centre and the Girls’ school are advised to use the south access of the Woqod petrol station as an alternative to the southbound lanes of Al Shamal service road
Ashghal will install road signs providing motorists with advance notice of the new road layout and has asked all road users to abide by the posted speed limit and to ensure their safety. Mazrouah Interchange is scheduled to open for public use by Q4 2018 and lane capacity will be increased from three (3) to five (5) in each direction, and enhance travel efficiency to Al Shamal, Al Ruwais, Lusail and Salwa Road.
