Construction cranes over the Al Wakrah Stadium being built for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar. One of the stadiums to be built from scratch, the Al Wakrah Stadium is racing towards completion ahead of schedule. The unique look of the stadium is inspired by the waves on the dhows. The stadium will have a seating capacity of 40,000. The venue will host matches through the 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals.
