Ministry of Public Health today announced 1267 confirmed new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 1470 recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in Qatar to 63,642. The Ministry also announced four deaths.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now stands at 84441 and there are 20713 active cases under treatment. So far, 86 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar. Ministry conducted 4869 tests in last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 63642 tests.
The deaths recorded today were patients who were receiving the necessary medical care in intensive care and they were aged 77 years, 61 years, 43 years and 41 years.
In the last 24 hours, 11 new cases have been admitted to intensive care due to health complications related to the virus, bringing the total number of cases currently in intensive care to 230.
“Anyone who has symptoms of COVID-19 should either quickly contact the 16000 helpline or go directly to one of the designated health centers for testing. This is important as the earlier the disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.” MoPH said.
The main screening centers include Muaither Health Centre, Rawdat Al Khail Health Centre, Umm Slal Health Centre and Al Gharafa Health Centre.
