Moscow: Police officers from 33 countries, including the State of Qatar, are taking part in securing the finals of the World Cup, which will kick off in Russia after two days.
Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev opened an international police cooperation center in Moscow’s Domodedovo suburb two days before the opening match of the World Cup between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
Kolokoltsev said the duty of the police is to act quickly and properly according to the law, as part of seeking to protect the teams and visitors, as well as to deter fan violence during the tournament from June 14 to July 15.
