Ministry launches online service to calculate End of Service (Gratuity)

For the convenience of expat employees the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has launched a new online service on its official website.

By using the new service expat employees will be easily able to calculate their end of service (EoS) payment in accordance with the number of working years the worker has spent at a specific company.

For precise calculations expats must enter the data in the online service in accordance with the contract signed between him and the employer, the information includes the joining date at a job, and last working date, the basic salary and gratuity days accrued for each year (for example 21 days for one year).

The service has been introduced to ensure greater transparency and to make foreign employees aware of their rights.

The end of service benefit is calculated in accordance with the Labour Law No. 14 of 2004. Expats wishing to calculate their EoS can do so by visiting this link.
