Meteorology Department warns strong wind and high sea

Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department tweeted that satellite images show a dust wave over the country affecting the visibility that now ranges from 2 to 6 km. The climate is expected to return to normal by afternoon.

Meanwhile, its daily report forecast that the weather inshore until 6 pm on Sunday will be slight dust to dusty at places and hot with scattered clouds at times, warning of expected with strong wind at places and poor visibility.

Offshore, it will be dusty and partly cloudy, the report added, warning of expected strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be northwesterly to northerly 10 to 18/22 knot at places. Offshore, it will be southeasterly at first, shifts to northwesterly 13 to 23 knot, reaching 27 knot at times.

Visibility will be 04 to 08/02 kilometer or less at places.

Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, while offshore it will be 4 to 6 fee, reaching 8 feet at times.
