A latest announcement made by the Airport Passports Department reveals that the exit permit for expatriates and citizens requiring it, will be issued for free and the process will be paperless.
The process will be conducted through Metrash 2 and the websites of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and Hukoomi, as part of MoI’s efforts to ease travel procedures for both expatriates and citizens, reports the Gulf Times.
The head of the Travel Permits Section of Airport Passports Department, Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Jabir al-Malki, maintained that the service required by expatriates and minor Qataris would be provided electronically without any fees or the need to present print-out of the document to the Immigration authorities.
He added that recruiters can enter the data of the expatriate worker on the designated form alongside his data or the authorized signatory on Metrash 2, MoI website or Hukoomi website and then send it.
Qataris can fill in the designated form for their minors in the same way to get an exit permit, it is learnt.
