Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will pay an official visit to the friendly French Republic today during which he will hold talks with the French President Emmanuel Macron on prospects of the close bilateral cooperation between the State of Qatar and the French Republic, and several regional and international issues.

The Amir visited France on September 14, 2017 as it was Amir’s first foreign tour since the blockade imposed on Qatar on June 5 of the same year.  In December 2017, French President Macron visited Doha and this visit helped consolidate the existing partnership between Qatar and France.
