Eleven flights to Dubai International Airport were diverted on Sunday evening.

A Dubai Airports spokesperson confirmed to Khaleej Times that operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) were briefly disrupted on June 17 due to a technical problem involving the airfield lighting.

The technical glitch led to the diversion of 11 inbound flights.

Dubai Airports worked with airlines and other service partners to restore normal operations within an hour.
