Doha: Scattered light rain was reported in the northern part of the country as was seen from the radar images, said the Department of Meteorology on their twitter account.
They also shared another image that showed increasing cloud distribution over the Arabian Peninsula, adding that there are chances of scattered light to moderate rains tonight which might become thundery too.
The department also predicted strong northwesterly wind will affect the country between Friday evening to Saturday evening, causing dust and poor visibility below 1km in most areas.
The windy conditions expected to lessen Saturday evening with a noticeable drop in temperature with maximums expected to range between 18 to 22 degree Celsius and minimums between 14 to 16 degree Celsius.
In their daily report, the department said weather inshore until 6 pm on Wednesday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain at some places.
Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain maybe thundery at times, warning of expected thunder rain associated with strong wind and high sea, the report added.
Wind inshore will be southeasterly to southwesterly 08 to 18 knot with gusting 22 knot at some places.
Offshore, it will be southeasterly to northeasterly 10 to 20 knot, gusting to 33 knot with the thunder rain.
Visibility will be 4 to 08 kilometers.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet rises to 6 feet with thunder rain. Offshore, it will be 4 to 6 feet rises to 10 feet with thunder rain.
