Doha: Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani visited yesterday the project of developing roads and infrastructure for citizens’ lands at Al Froush, Al Kharaitiyat areas, implemented by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

During his visit, H E the Prime Minister directed the importance of completing the projects that serve the residential areas and citizens’ lands throughout the country and opening them on time and with the required quality.

The President of Ashghal, Dr. Saad bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi, said that the visit of HE the Prime Minister to the Infrastructure Project at Al Froushand Al Khraitiyat reflects his keenness on following up the precise development of projects that affect citizens directly. He added that Ashghal had completed the implementation of about 40 percent of the road development project and the infrastructure of the citizens’ land areas at Al Farouch and Kharitiyat, which will provide a network of safe roads and sewage networks, networks for drinking water, electricity, communications and others, stressing that the project is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of next year.

Ashghal has developed a plan for the implementation of roads and infrastructure for 10,400 vouchers of the citizens’ new land , 1819 of which were completed in 2017 and four projects are being implemented for citizens’ lands serving 5540 vouchers, of which 1,637 will be delivered this year in the areas of Al Froush, Kharaitiyat, North Al Nasiriyah, Rawadat Qadim, Azghwa and south of Al Wukair. 5,644 vouchers will be completed this year within the Al Shamal city, and Bani Hajar and Maither areas, in addition to offering 15 projects during the year 2018 to serve 15 thousand and 21 vouchers in several existing areas such as Al Maarath, Maithder, Kharitiyat, Abel, Labib, Al duhail, South Mashaf and Abu Hamour.
