DOHA: Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani visited  Qatar Financial Center (QFC) yesterday.

The Prime Minister and Interior Minister listened to a detailed explanation by senior officials at the Center about the strategy adopted and the achievements. The Prime Minister was briefed about the Center’s future plans, Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre and Qatar Finance and Business Academy. The Prime Minister praised the Center’s contribution to the efforts of diversifying the Qatari economy, and to supporting the State’s march towards achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The Prime Minister stressed on the importance of the pivotal role of Qatar Financial Center as one of the “most important pillars of strengthening the national economy”, and the significance of its role in creating a “successful and distinct global financial business environment in the State of Qatar and the region”.

The Prime Minister also visited the Commercial Section of the Center, Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre and Qatar Finance and Business Academy. He was accompanied by Minister of Finance H E Ali Shareef Al Emadi and senior officials at Qatar Financial Center.
