Qatar Development Bank launched yesterday an online portal for homebased business in Qatar. The platform-‘matajercom.qa’- will enable home based business to upload and sell products online and will help them to reach out to a larger audience and showcase the products
“As a part of the objectives outlined in our Home-based Business National Program to promote this vital sector – we are also launching our largest online platform to digitally showcase products offered by local home-based businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar,” said said Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer, QDB speaking at the opening of the first edition of the ‘Made at Home’ exhibition that kicked-off yesterday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.  By registering into the platform, the entrepreneurs will be able to view and purchase products online. Once an entrepreneur registers, a team of QDB will come to verify if the product is made in Qatar or not.
The portal is a database of all home based businesses based in Qatar and will provide opportunity of finding new customers.  QDB had introduced the National Home based Business Advancement Program to provide micro and home-based businesses with business opportunities.
