The traffic change, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, starts today, with a brief operation period of five days.

The detour will enable the construction of the New Orbital Highway and Truck Route project. During the diversion, motorists coming from Ras Laffan Road on southbound Orbital Road can use the Al Khor Link Road in place of the Orbital Road through Al Khor Interchange on Al Shamal Road and continue straight to the Orbital Road.

Also, the motorists coming from the Orbital Road to Al Khor Interchange via Al Mazrooah Road can continue their trip through the Orbital Road instead to Ras Laffan Road, then turn right to the Al Khor Link Road, then turn right again to Al Khor Interchange on North Road.
