The Shura Council participates in the meeting of the Palestine Committee in the Arab Parliament

Cairo: The Shura Council participated in the meeting of the Palestine Committee in the Arab Parliament, held at the Parliament’s headquarters in Cairo on Tuesday.

HE Sheikha bint Youssef Al Jufairi, a member of both the Shura Council and the Arab Parliament, represented the State of Qatar at the meeting. The discussions focused on developments in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

HE Sheikha bint Youssef Al Jufairi emphasized Qatar’s efforts to halt Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and ensure the continuous delivery of life-saving humanitarian aid to the area.

Her Excellency highlighted Qatar’s unwavering commitment to stopping the violence, protecting civilians, providing assistance, and preventing the conflict from escalating.

During the meeting, Ambassador Mohannad Al Aklouk, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the League of Arab States, briefed the committee on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee endorsed a draft resolution on the situation in Palestine and another concerning Palestinian women in the occupied territories, in preparation for presenting them to the general session of the Arab Parliament, scheduled for Saturday at the Arab League headquarters.
