Qatar Chamber and Burundi discuss economic and trade cooperation

Doha, Qatar: The Centre for Legal and Judicial Studies (CLJS) of the Ministry of Justice organized two training courses for jurists in various ministries and government agencies from June 30 to July 4. These courses focused on skills in authentication and document authentication, as well as combating crimes related to public office.

The first course, “Skills for Documentation and Authentication of Documents,” aimed to develop the legal and practical skills of participants in document authentication. It covered the general provisions for authenticating documents, methods of proof, and historical context, while also introducing legal provisions related to authenticating agencies and company incorporation contracts. The course also included knowledge of the rules for proving the authenticity of various types of documents, addressing issues of forgery, and reviewing the provisions of electronic authentication and the duties of authentication service providers to enhance electronic signatures.

The second course, “Combating Crimes Related to the Public Office,” focused on developing the skills of public employees in combating crimes related to public jobs and public money. It covered the types of crimes that affect public funds, their negative impacts on the national economy, and raised awareness about the damage caused by assaults on public funds, including embezzlement and corruption. The course also explained the role of legal and supervisory authorities in combating administrative corruption, and outlined the types and procedures of investigations into public office crimes.

Dr. Saleh Ali Al Fadala, Director of the CLJS, emphasized the importance of these specialized training courses in developing the legal skills of researchers and legal specialists. He highlighted the courses’ benefits for ministries and government institutions, as they are designed to meet their training needs. He noted that the CLJS, under the guidance of His Excellency Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, aims to address the country’s training needs in accordance with the third national development strategy and the Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly in its pillar related to human development. Therefore, the Center offers specific programs and courses that consider the practical and applied aspects, focusing on preparing qualified national cadres in various specializations and legal fields, as well as enhancing the specialized technical skills and expertise of jurists in various government agencies.
