First Qatari field hospital in Beirut inaugurated

Doha: The first Qatari field hospital was inaugurated in the courtyard of the Al-Roum Hospital in Beirut, in the presence of Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Lebanon H E Mohammed Hassan Jaber Al Jaber, Dr Muhammad Haidar, General Elias Shamia and Edgar Jojo with the participation of the Qatari medical and logistical team and diplomats.
On the occasion, they inspected the hospital departments, which include operating rooms, intensive care rooms, and patient reception rooms, in addition to a pharmacy.
Qatar has send two field hospitals to Lebanon on the aftermath of the Beirut Port explosion, which has injured thousands.
Qatari search and rescue team from Lakhwiya and Qatar Red Crescent are also actively involved in rescue and rehabilitation efforts in Beirut.
QRCS repaired 25 homes damaged by Beirut Port explosion as part of 500 homes planned to be repaired for immediate return of families until further repairs are done later on.
