Education Ministry issues code of professional conduct

Doha – The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued the code of professional conduct for the Ministry’s employees, in the framework of enhancing their spirit of career affiliation.
The Code of Professional Conduct aims to support the commitment of the Ministry employees to behaviors that respect their profession and value their personality, it also aims to encourage employees to adhere to rights and duties and to follow the desired professional behavior and to stay away from unprofessional and unwanted behavior, and foster a spirit of loyalty and career affiliation.
The document also touched on defining the basic values of professional behavior, and its standards, which consist of four criteria that represent the basis for professional practices that employees of the Ministry of Education are obligated to implement, as each criterion is followed by examples of professional and non-professional actions and behaviors.
With regard to the provisions of the four standards of the code of professional conduct, it includes the relationship with colleagues, subordinates and superiors, and this comes through the commitment of the Ministry’s employees to implement direct superiors instructions, respect superiors and subordinates, act wisely and objectively, and follow legal obligations, through the commitment of the Ministry’s staff to state laws and regulations in all transactions, as well as the obligation to communicate effectively with the employees of the Ministry of Education in the interest of work, and finally the standard of cultures, customs and citizenship, by respecting the Islamic values, customs, national traditions and different religions.
The document also contains a form of approval and undertaking, and the Ministry’s human resources department will circulate it to all Ministry employees, to add it to each employee’s file to ensure awareness and knowledge of all the values, principles, obligations and provisions contained in the Code of Professional Conduct.
