Doha: Entry for residents, who are stuck abroad due to COVID-19, to Qatar will be only after obtaining an entry permit through Qatar Portal. Application for the same can be submitted from August 1.
Qatar Portal allows employers, whether individuals or companies, government or private sectors, to apply for entry permits for residents and their family members holding QIDs under which they can return to the State of Qatar.
Exceptional Entry Permit to Qatar is a temporary service provided to the residents who are currently stuck abroad due to COVID-19.

To apply for Exceptional Entry Permit, one needs to create a new account on Qatar Portal and click on “Apply for Exceptional Entry Permit.”
There are two types of accounts – one for Qatar residents and citizens and another for visitors and business representatives.
For Qatar residents and citizens, one need to enter the QID and a personal mobile number, while visitors have to enter the email and number before moving to the next step of adding personal details.
Approval for the entry application will be sent to email address.
A print of the permit must be kept with the traveller along with a copy of quarantine undertaking that will have to be presented to airport officials.
