Mall of Qatar exempts retailers from rent for three months

Doha: Mall of Qatar has announced that all the retailers will get three-month rent exemption due to the current public health scenario.
In a statement on social media Mall of Qatar said that all retailers at the mall will be exempted from rental obligations for the months of March, April and May 2020.
“Given the current events, all the retailers at Mall of Qatar will be exempted from rental obligations for the months of March, April and May 2020. Mall of Qatar remains committed to provide support that helps our partners tackle any financial consequences at this stage, and unite efforts to overcome the current challenges. Wishing you good health and well-being,” the statement read.
In the last few days many establishments have come forward either postponing or exempting rent for its commercial units.
While Barwa Real Estate has postponed rent payment by three months with effect from April, Msheireb Properties and Katara have exempted commercial outlets from rent and service bills from March 15 till further notice.
