Doha: Fahes centres resumed its normal operations for vehicle inspections in coordination with the Traffic Department from today.

Vehicles were seen lining up outside the centres in the morning as exemption from physical inspection for renewal of Istimara was revoked from the beginning of this month

Fahes had earlier announced that “all centres except the one at Industrial area will begin inspection on August 9.”

It had also clarified that the exemption from physical inspection of vehicles stopped effective August 1. The vehicles registered online for inspection after July 31 will need to undergo a complete inspection at the FAHES centers.

Heavy vehicles which were being inspected at the FAHES Center in the Industrial area prior to the closure will now be inspected at FAHES Al Mazrooua.

The technical inspections of vehicles for the renewal of Istimara (registration) were exempted for the last few months as part of COVID precautionary measures.

As Qatar is gradually lifting the Covid-19 restrictions, Fahes has also started the inspections following the preventive measures.
