Doha: Indians who are going back from Qatar to Kerala in special flights don’t need to undergo Covid-19 tests like those from other countries. Kerala Chief Minister said in a press conference today that people from Qatar need to only show the green status in Ehteraz app.
Kerala, a southern Indian state, has been asking Indian central government to check every passenger coming to the state if they are Covid-19 positive and allow only those who are negative to board the special flights organised by the Indian government as part of Vande Bharath Mission and the chartered flights organised by companies and community organisations.
Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala Chief Minister, said in a press conference that the Indian Ambassador from Qatar P Kumaran send a letter explaining the procedures in Qatar and the Ehteraz app.
It is not clear yet if the Indian central government has accepted the Kerala government’s request to test all passengers for Covid-19.
