The Ministry of Public Health announced that the designated authorities arrested on Tuesday 10 people who violated the requirements of the home quarantine, they committed to following, which they are legally accountable for, in accordance with the procedures of the health authorities in the country.
The Ministry said in a statement that the arrest of these people came in implementation of the precautionary measures in force in the country, approved by health authorities represented in the Ministry of Public Health, to curb the spread of the COVID-19.
The Ministry of Public Health added that the violators who are all Qatari citizens are currently being referred to prosecution.
Their names are Ahmed Salem Ahmed Saleh Al Bakri, Ahmed Rweiki Ghorban Al Quqaqi Al Ruwaili, Abdullah Ali Rashid Ali Al Gherniq, Jaber Ayedh Salem Khijim Al Athba, Abdulaziz Ismail Youssef Nasser Al Nasser, Faisal Abdullah Mohammad Al Sheikh Al Kuwari, Ali Ahmed Munser Al Hamad, Abdulrahman Khalid Abdullah Al Ghanem Al Maadeed, Abdullah Ayedh Khijim Al Athba Al Marri and Faisal Rashid Hamad Alyan Al Marri.
The state authorities called on citizens and residents under home quarantine to fully commit to the Ministry of Public Health’s condition, to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
The statement stressed that anyone who violates the condition is subject to the penalties.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior also said yesterday in a tweet that between March 20 to 25, 2020, it received more than 570 complaints regarding quarantine.
