Department of meteorology warns of thundery rain & strong wind

Doha: Weather inshore tonight until 6 a.m. on Saturday will be partly cloudy at times with scattered rain, thundery at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of thundery rain at some places.
Offshore, it will be cloudy with chance of scattered rain, thundery at some places, the report added, warning of thundery rain at some places associated with strong wind and high sea.
Wind inshore will be southeasterly to southwesterly at a speed of 5 to 15 knots gusting to 22 knots at some places with thundery rain.
Offshore, it will be southwesterly to southeasterly at a speed of 5 to 15 knots gusting to 30 knots at some places with thundery rain.
Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers or 3 kilometers.
Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet surging to 5 feet at some places with thundery rain. Offshore, it will be 2 to 4 feet surging to 9 feet at some places with thundery rain.
In the evening Qatar Meteorology Department @Qatar_Weather tweeted:
“Rain of variable intensity expected tonight and tomorrow maybe thundery at times accompanied with strong wind. Please be careful and avoid going to sea.”
