Doha: Weather inshore until 6 pm on Monday will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times and a chance of thundery rain with blowing dust at places at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected thundery rain at places associated with strong wind.

Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times with chance of scattered rain maybe thundery at north areas by afternoon, report added, warning of expected thunder rain associated with strong wind and high sea at north areas by afternoon.

Wind inshore will be mainly southeasterly to southwesterly 05 to 15 knot, reaching to 25 knot with thundery rain.

Offshore, it will be northeasterly to southeasterly 03 to 13 knot, gusting to 23 knot with the thunder rain.

Visibility will be 4 to 8/2 kilometer or less at some places with thunder rain.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 2 feet, rises to 5 feet with the thunder rain. Offshore, it will be 1 to 3 feet, rises to 7 feet with the thunder rain.

The department also issued a few safety tips for this rainy weather:

1. Move between tracks slowly
2. Reduce speed
3. Keep a safety distance
4. Turn on headlights
5. Stay away from any distractions
6. Avoid submerged roads
