In compliance with the directive of the Ministry of Public Health to reduce the spread of COVID-19, all routine appointments at Hamad Dental Center are cancelled.
The services in the department are limited to urgent and emergency visits only during this period of the pandemic, said Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), yesterday. To be seen at a clinic in Hamad Dental Center, patient must have one or more of conditions including , severe toothache pain (not just a twinge), swelling of gums, face, or neck, bleeding in mouth that does not stop, infection or a substantial risk of it or trauma (such as a broken tooth). A patient with the conditions are advised to call 16000 to arrange to be seen by a dentist. “If you feel sick before coming to the clinic (if you have symptoms of respiratory illness you must call the COVID-19 hotline #16000 first for advice on how to proceed,” HMC said.
