Amir’s directives to fight COVID-19 lauded by residents

Many social media users have praised H H the Amir’s directives to fight the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and provide necessary services to citizens and residents.

Under the hashtag #ThanksTamimAlMajd, H H the Amir’s directives were welcomed by citizens and residents saying that it is one of the few times that you see the head of state and its Amir chairing the Crisis Management Committee and directing to take measures to normalise the situation.

A series of decisions have been made as a result of a meeting of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management chaired by Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al  Thani. The decisions included measures about inbound flights management, education, public transportation, economic and financial sector.

Also all sectors and institutions in the country, citizens and residents are called to cooperate and adhere to all measures and take all necessary precautions to overcome the situation.

Hamad Lahdan Al Mohannadi, a citizen, tweeted that “Among Arab countries, it is one of the few times that you see the ruler of the state heads the crisis management committee and gives directives to confront the crisis, yes we may see this in western countries, but as an Arab I think His Highness Amir is an exception”.

Another one commented saying that “the ruler who stood in the most severe crisis of the siege and protected the people and the state, and with his efforts and the efforts of everyone, we will protect our homeland and eradicate the virus.

“H H the Amir has succeeded in overcoming many of the crises faced by the country. So with his wisdom and good management the country has succeeded in overcoming many crises and turned them into opportunities,” said Amina Al Kuwari.

Another says, “Dealing with a rapidly spreading global epidemic and infectiousness is not an easy thing, but thanks to God and the efforts of our rational government, led by H H the Amir, the epidemic is in control.”
