Ministry of Public Health today recorded 557 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 1165 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 97272.
The Ministry also announced 4 deaths due to Covid-19.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 102110. So far, 142 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar. Ministry conducted 4568 tests in last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 400767 tests. There are 48 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours. Active cases in Qatar dipped below 5000 today to reach 4696 cases.
Ministry announced four new deaths- people aged 52, 53, 63 and 76 – all were receiving the necessary medical care.
4 patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 145.
The Ministry of Public Health urged anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 to contact the unified helpline (16000), or to go to one of the virus testing centers, since the earlier detection of the disease results in a better chance of recovery.
The main screening centers include Muaither Health Center, Rawdat Al Khail Health Center, Umm Slal Health Center, and Al Gharafa Health Center.
