10 arrested in Qatar for violating home isolation pledge
10 people to be prosecuted for flouting home quarantine pledge

Ten people will be prosecuted for violating the home quarantine pledge they undertook as part of efforts to contain the spread of coronavius (COVID-19).
Qatar has approved home isolation as a second option for families returning to the country from abroad, provided they sign a pledge to remain under self-quarantine for a prescribed period.
The violation exposes those people to legal accountability in accordance with the procedures of the health authorities in the country.
In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said the violators will be referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.
The violators are:
- Ali Kamel Yousef al Hashemi,
- Fahd Hassan Ayed al Qahtani,
- Abdullah Talib Ibrahim al Ansari,
- Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Asad Hashem,
- Ali Saleh Ali al Yafei,
- Ibrahim Salah Ibrahim al Mansoori,
- Jum’a Marzouq Dham al Nasr,
- Muhammad Johar Mudhihi al Abdullah,
- Saeed Abdulaziz Saud Twaim
- Hamad Ali Muhammad Asad Hashem
All of them are Qatari citizens.
The authorities concerned called on the citizens and residents, who are under domestic quarantine, to strictly adhere to the set conditions specified by the Ministry of Public Health to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
The MoPH statement said people violating these conditions will face penalties in accordance with the provisions of Article (253) of the Penal Code No (11) of 2004, and the provisions of Law No (17) of 1990, regarding the prevention of infectious diseases, and Law No (17) of 2002 on protecting society.
