IMPORTANT Announcement! Indians on employment visa must register online before leaving for Qatar

The new rule applies to all passport holders, irrespective of their emigration status such as ECR or ECNR.

Come January one year from now, Indians on business visa in 18 nations including Qatar should enroll with an administration site, no less than 24 hours before their voyage, on the off chance that they would prefer not to be offloaded. This applies to all international ID holders, regardless of their resettlement status versus ECR or ECNR.

“All the Non Emigration Check Required (Non-ECR) identification holding Indian migrants are therefore encouraged to take note of that in compatibility to Ministry of External Affairs’ command to give insurance and welfare to the Indian travelers abroad, it was chosen by the Competent Authority that Non-ECR visa holding Indian exiled people, going for “abroad business” to 18 informed Countries, are required to enroll online through the site (www.emigrate.gov.in),” the warning said.

The nations are: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

“The above arrangement has been made operational from December, 2017 on pilot premise and it is seen that the enrollment procedure is running easily,” the warning noted.

“Enrollment should be possible by visiting the site of emigrate.gov.in and key in their subtle elements at the connection “ECNR Registration” and pursue the means to fill the Registration Form. On fruitful consummation of enrollment, the migrant would get a corroborative SMS/email.”

“The said enlistment of Non-ECR international ID holders will be obligatory and required to be finished somewhere around 24 hours before genuine flight. Beginning 01.01.2019, no Indian displaced person holding Non-ECR international ID, would be permitted to go to these 18 ECR nations for work, without earlier enlistment in eMigrate, as a proportion of expanding security and guaranteeing their welfare abroad,” the warning said.

“Off-stacking of unregistered Non-ECR exiled people at the airplane terminals, would be affected by the suitable expert after 15 January 2019. For all other visa classes there is no change in existing methodology.”

Around twelve inquiries were presented to the Twitter handle of the Indian Embassy in Qatar looking for elucidations in realtion with those effectively working in Qatar and somewhere else.
